“She believed she could, so she did.”

This is a quote that inspires me on a daily basis. Believe in yourself! Trust your intuition. In 2014, after the birth of my 3rd child, I became a Certified Birth Doula. I believe the support and education of a woman and her family is essential to empowering a woman in her pregnancy, birthing time, and postpartum.

The last few years I gained lactation/breastfeeding helper training, bereavement doula certification, and currently pursuing an apprenticeship and education in Midwifery. I hold a special place in my heart in supporting moms who have had a previous cesarean, are seeking a VBAC, or will need a primary or repeat cesarean.

Although I feel it is especially important to seek out the education when you are first becoming parents, navigating through all of the information can be confusing. A doula can make the pregnancy and birth time less overwhelming.

As a mother of 4 children, the first of whom was born via cesarean, and the wife of a super supportive tattoo artist, I strive to continue to keep learning so I can better support the mothers and families that choose to invite me as their doula. I believe in your informed choices in pregnancy and birth. I believe you are capable of deciding what is best for you and your family.
